If you want to become an orthodontist you must first qualify as a dentist. This will mean you have to take three years of a bachelor degree at university and then you have to get the (DDS) you get this at a dental school and it takes about four years to earn it. You will also need to have taken life sciences such as anatomy and biology and you need to have taken some humanity courses such as social studies and English to get into most of the dental schools. You will then need to pass the (DAT) which is the dental admission test. Once you are done dental school you will have to get a science degree in orthodontics , this should last about two to three years. Then you have to pass an exam by Royal College of Dentists of Canada. After successfully completing this you have to start running a business.
